About
If I had a mantra, it would be “keep curious”. My creative journey started in Wales at Swansea School of Art, Then on to Trent University to study fashion. Ten days after graduating, I moved to New York to work as a designer and illustrator for a fashion forecasting and reportage company. The intention was to stay two years and return to the UK to do a post graduate in illustration. However 2 years turned into 30+ in New York and Philadelphia, where I worked in various fashion, illustration and editorial roles. As a design director, illustrator and consultant, I’ve aimed to combine accumulated knowledge with a trained eye and a thirst for discovery. Along with painting and illustration form and silhouette became a part of my creative days, creating decorative and functional forms.
Painting is where the two worlds merge.
The design eye is also prevalent, particularly with pattern play. Inspirational sources are everywhere; from a printed endpaper in a vintage book, to the cast shadow of a trellis or a decorative tile.
I now live in rural Ireland and consult and design with a variety of design and product companies globally.
